Well I think anyone who is my Facebook friend already knows my big news which is that Peter and I have decided to get married on May 1st 2011.

We’ve been together for well over two years and he’s the kindest, sweetest, loveliest man I’ve ever known at the same time as being strong and with his integrity intact – we get on incredibly well with each other and our respective families and friends too.

We’re going to have a “hand-fasting” rather than a traditional or civil ceremony and we’re very excited about it. We’ll start planning properly when we return from Kartong and Dombondir Festivals in January/February.

So……I swore I’d never do it again but it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind!

Meanwhile we’re completely snowed in here and this morning had to walk to the nearest main road and hitch-hike to the next town to do some shopping. It was pretty easy and much better than trying to dig out the cars and slither down the treacherous back roads where we live.

It’s just beautiful outside though

She recommends detox diets colonic irrigation and supplements, also making statements that yeast is harmful, that the colour of food is nutritionally significant, and about the utility of lingual and faecal exam

This woman is 50.
She is a TV cook, who eats nothing but meat, butter and deserts.
So forget “join a gym and eat more celery”.
This Christmas, it’s food and booze all the way.
And the only exercise you need is dancing and shagging.

Trip Up The Thames

Last weekend we had a wonderful trip up and down the Thames test driving the new engine of a lovely Dutch barge with the owner and a few of her friends. We spent two days cruising fault free. The barge handled like a dream and although it was very cold outside we were all toasty inside with the lovely wood burner in the wheelhouse.

The weather made the Dagenham end of the trip very atmospheric and the second day made the Houses of Parliament and all the London sites look magical.
