Well it’s been a ridiculous time since I updated my blog what with being incredibly busy and perhaps a bit lazy as it’s so easy to do a quick Facebook Update and neglect this place.
Blogging used to really help clear my mind and then order my thoughts, reflect on what was going on in my life and also share exciting and interesting events.
There’s been no shortage of happenings good and bad – family joys and disappointments.
So much has happened in fact since August when I last wrote here that I’m not even going to attempt to catch up but just start again from now! Well I suppose I should mention I spent 3 weeks in Australia seeing family and attending a retreat out in the bush plus really enjoyed my grand-daughter’s recent fourth birthday in Kent, which makes me realise how fast time is speeding by!
So………last night I went to a fabulous gig at the Plantation in Bristol and saw a wonderful Latin band, Aji Pa’ti – led by a very talented and sexy Cuban female singer – danced my brains out.
Today I’m going to the North Bristol Art Trail and tonight we’re going to see a band at The Chelsea Inn called Swindlestock so will take the camera and try and get some live pics.
Peter’s in Africa helping to plan Kartong Festival – I should be there but decided to stay this time to be around for family.
I’m on Track 10 of my second album which will be called At The Healing Tree and me and my musical partner Paddy are running regular music nights at the Halo Bar in Gloucester Road Bristol where songwriters can come and play a short set plus we feature one electronica act as a headline.
I’m also playing my flute with a friend who plays hang drum and I’ve joined the Bristol Percussion Orchestra and use one of my sabar drums for that.
OK that’s more or less where I am today – will really try and keep this up to date again!
